Denise has been with Arlington North Animal Clinic since 1992. Originally from Arlington Virginia, and the youngest of 11 children, she received a Mechanical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech in 1982. While working in Hawaii for a firm based in Tampa, Florida, she met her husband Don, a resident of Arlington, Texas, and they married in Richmond Virginia in 1990. It was Don’s dogs Henry, a husky mix, and Ginger, a Lab mix, that first brought Denise to Arlington North Animal Clinic. Having taken some time off to adjust to a new home and a new family life, when the opportunity for employment arose at the Animal Clinic, Denise elected to completely ‘change gears’ and began working as an assistant to the Clinic’s owner, Dr. C.Gary Dye,  now retired.

Over the years with Arlington North Animal Clinic, Denise has seen the practice come a long way from those early days, and in 1996 moved into the position of Manager. While her career path may have veered away from engineering, she has always enjoyed working with and meeting new people, and considers herself fortunate to have come to know so many wonderful clients along with a vast array of wonderful, crazy, enjoyable pets!  Denise and Don currently share their home with 2 sets of litter mates, Pyrenese mixes Dora and Hazel, and 11 year old cat siblings Professor and Adrian.

Paula has been an integral member of our clinic staff since 2006. Originally from upstate New York, Paula moved to the Arlington, Texas area in 1979. Paula’s friendliness and easy going  manner are well known to our clientele. She has a knack for making each pet she cares for feel ‘extra’ special,  as evidenced by how often we hear their owners say “As soon as we pull into the parking lot he/she can’t wait to get in here!” When first joining our staff, Paula’s primary responsibility was our boarding kennel where she became proficient at recognizing the unique mannerisms and behaviors of  each boarding pet.  As a result, those animals who are frequent boarders seem to really look forward to seeing Paula, and the feeling is mutual!  When she’s not working, Paula enjoys crocheting and has also been known to make the occasional trip north for some casino gambling! Paula shares her home with 2 rescued Chihuahuas Eugene and Angel, her 3 cats Mama kitty, Mr. Handsome, and Little Fred.
